Audio-visual translation requires skills that do not transfer easily from other translation work. Subtitles must be readable in the available time, fit the character limits of the distribution platform, and capture the meaning and tone of the dialogue without word-for-word literalism. Dubbing scripts add another layer: the translated dialogue needs to fit the mouth movements and timing of the original performance. Both require experience working with the medium, not just competence in the languages.

We offer subtitle translation for films, TV series, documentaries, training videos, promotional content, and online media. Files are delivered in SRT, VTT, SSA, or any other format required by your platform or post-production workflow. For broadcast material, we can adhere to specific subtitle safety area and formatting guidelines on request.

For dubbing and voice-over work, we prepare lip-sync scripts adapted for the target language, with timing marks and performer direction notes where required. We do not perform recording ourselves, but we can recommend experienced voice-over studios in Italy and internationally who we have worked with before.
