Audio-Visual Translation
Academic translation is not just about producing grammatically correct text in the target language. It is about producing text that meets the expectations of the academic community in that language. English-language science journals have very specific conventions for how results should be presented, how uncertainty should be expressed, and how citations and cross-references should be handled. A translation that is linguistically accurate but stylistically off-register will not survive the peer review process.
Our academic translators hold master's degrees or doctorates and work within the fields they translate. We do not assign biology papers to a generalist with good English. We assign them to someone who understands the methodology, the literature, and the conventions of the specific journal or institution the work is destined for.
We handle the full range of academic output: journal articles across science, humanities, law, and social science; conference papers and proceedings; dissertations and theses for submission or archive; research grant proposals; and institutional publications such as annual reports and faculty handbooks.
If you are preparing a submission for a specific journal, tell us the target publication at briefing. We will check any house style requirements and adapt the translation to match them. If your paper is in Italian and bound for a Nature or Science submission, we have translated successfully for those publications before.

"They have been translating our technical documentation for three years. In that time there has not been a single consistency error across language versions. That level of reliability is hard to find."
