Selected work.
Three projects that show what professional translation means in real contexts.
Fiat Group Industrial
"Three years of technical manuals for heavy vehicles, kept consistent across six languages."
Fiat Group Industrial needed to maintain their service manuals, operator guides, and safety documentation across Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese simultaneously. The challenge was consistency: new models were released regularly, and updates to one section of a manual had to be reflected across all language versions without delay. We built and maintained a shared translation memory and terminology database that now covers over 380,000 words of validated automotive vocabulary.
Lavazza SpA
"Campaign copy for fourteen markets, adapted to sound local rather than translated."
Lavazza was running their first fully localised global brand campaign. The brief was explicit: not translation, but creative adaptation. Their Italian campaign voice had to land in North America, Germany, Japan, and eight other markets without sounding like it had been processed. We worked with their creative agency to adapt every headline, tagline, and long-form copy element, running cultural sensitivity reviews alongside the linguistic work.
Politecnico di Torino
"A series of engineering research papers prepared for Nature and Science submissions."
The Politecnico di Torino Department of Mechanical Engineering engaged us to translate and linguistically edit eight research papers for submission to Nature, Science, and other peer-reviewed journals. Three of those papers were subsequently published. The work involved not just accurate translation from Italian to English but careful attention to the specific register expected by international editorial boards in the materials engineering field.
